“One thing first: Being Swiss, I love the Mövenpick brand. Childhood memories, fantastic ice cream, nice hotels. So, I was really looking forward to my one night at this property. And disappointed I was: The rooms are in a bad state, the pool seems last to have last been cleaned before the pandemic, tiles are missing, beautiful Frangipani flowers are floating in in masses in the water. The massage jets in the pool are visibly broken. The deck chairs were dirty and have seen better days, the parasol was also in a lamentable state. And as I had a shower in my room after my visit to the pool, I noticed that the shower was really not very clean, hair from other guests still there and the toilet smelled... And the pillows on the bed seem to have seen much, much better days as well. Well, I am still here. Hopefully the breakfast tomorrow will be making up for some of the disappointment... This property is classified as 5 star. I have seen 3 star hotels in a better state. This will - it saddens me to say - be my first and last stay ever at this hotel.”
